So many write-ups, videos and audios alike being passed around in the past few days. I listened to some of them and laughed and to some of them, I paused to reflect, as a scientific researcher, I’m used to probing information. As a follow up to my message on “In a time as this I” I will be ministering on the topic: Press the reset button (In a time as this II).
Certainly, after this period, the world will automatically come to RESET: businesses will change, locations will change, friendships will change, life pattern will change, alliance among other things will change. There is a need to understand the times and seasons we are in and I have made mention of this in some of my past messages. However, one thing I must mention according to the scriptures and against all the news making rounds is that it is not the END yet and in fact whatever we’re seeing now is as a result of the activities of men as what is happening is nothing compared to the wrath of God according. (do a diligent study of the book of Revelation). Talking about the wrath of God according to revelations, it is not meant for you and I.
Let’s quickly compare two scriptures Psalm 91 and I John 4:17-18 AMP
According to Psalm 91, we are safe and protected when there is danger due to activities here on earth either physically or spiritually.
Also, when there is divine judgment/punishment (God’s wrath), we have nothing to fear according to I John 4:17-18
Let’s press the 1st RESET button: Getting back to the place of our first love: let me first say that you have no reasons to fear at all. Psalm 91 talks about dwelling in God while I John 4:17-18 also talks about “union and fellowship with God” by so doing, we have nothing to fear at all according to the promises from the two scriptures.
17 In this [union and fellowship with Him], love is completed and perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment [with assurance and boldness to face Him]; because as He is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love].
Simply return to the place of fellowship and if you haven’t connected with Jesus, tomorrow might be too late. Surrender your all to Him today.
The 2nd RESET button: It is good to first find your footing rooted in God, the second button to press in a time as this is to seek God for understanding, to know and understand the times and seasons. Ask God, not man! Let me quickly say this, there is no amount of worries or panic that can stop the events that will unfold…so, seek God! Look at this scripture: Jeremiah 33:3 AMP
‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and tell you [and even show you] great and mighty things, [things which have been confined and hidden], which you do not know and understand and cannot distinguish.’
We know from the Rev 13 that until the Antichrist is revealed, nobody can force anybody to receive any mark or code and like so many other things making the rounds, simply check them in line with scriptures. God knows and understands every mystery, seek HIM and wholeheartedly. Seeking God will give you answers to current situation and what to do. Don’t forget, the world responds to those that understand times and seasons and what to do in time II Chro 12:32
Of the tribe of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do, two hundred chiefs; and all their relatives were at their command;
The 3rd RESET button: Some of you have been serving in other people’s fields, serving the dreams and purposes of other men, some are doing stuffs you know you have no passion or fulfillment about, it’s time to press the RESET button to find your own passion, purpose and fulfillment. God created you for a purpose! You are called and made for something peculiar to you, just you! It’s time to look inward to find your passion. Prov 18:16
A man’s gift [given in love or courtesy] makes room for him And brings him before great men.
Talking about gifts, it can also be an idea that comes from within and either of the two is given by God. Whenever it’s from God, it brings solutions and great results bringing both high and low to you. God is the giver of both gifts and ideas. Let’s see some people in times of trouble:
David picked 5 stones to fight Goliath in 1Sam 17, the widow of the prophet in 2Kings 4:1-7 was asked to borrow pots and pour her last oil until there was no more pots, Elisha in 2Kings 6:1-7 used a piece of wood to recover an axe head. There is a gift OR idea that need your attention this period of isolation, find it! It is through your fellowship with God you can get to know the exact answer/gift/idea needed for “the now” It is in the place of fellowship, seeking God that your spirit man grows to fetch from the spirit of the father I Cor 2:9-11
9but just as it is written [in Scripture],
“Things which the eye has not seen and the ear has not heard,
And which have not entered the heart of man,
All that God has prepared for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, who obey Him, and who gratefully recognize the benefits that He has bestowed].”
10 For God has unveiled them and revealed them to us through the [Holy] Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things [diligently], even [sounding and measuring] the [profound] depths of God [the divine counsels and things far beyond human understanding]. 11 For what person knows the thoughts and motives of a man except the man’s spirit within him? So also no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God
