INTRODUCTION- We have started a series in the last three (3) weeks, and we are at the last series of talking about the topic “ TO PLEASE God YOU MUST KNOW HIM”.
BIBLE VERSES- Hebrews 1:1-4, JONH 14;7-9.
It’s important to know God, and for you to please God you have to first know him.
— In 1 Corinthians 11:1- the bible said, be ye followers of me as I follow Christ. Also in Colossians 1:15, It shares that Jesus is the express image of God.
– Material things are not the main things, the main thing is knowing God. In John 14, Jesus said seeing me is seeing the father.
– The beginning of your encounter of knowing God is knowing Jesus. Knowing Jesus doesn’t stop at salvation alone, but the more you get to know Jesus the more God is revealed to you.
– There is no way you know God without seeing his acts.
– Christianity isn’t about religion but a way of God. Also the key to the kingdom of God is Jesus. In John 14:6 Jesus said am the way the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except through me the son.
– The only key to get to eternity is through knowing Jesus.
— it’s because we do not know Jesus, that’s why we find ourselves doing the things Paul apostle said, talked about in the bible.
– Christianity is not relationship with man, but a relationship with God.
– In the book of Ephesians, we could see that Christ restored us back from the life we were cut off.
Lastly, in John 3:16- For God so loved the world that he gave his ONLY begotten son, Christ has died for our sins and today i encourage and urge everyone to come to Christ.
