- Heb 11:1 – 6
- Abel pleased God, Enoch pleased God (Heb 11:4, Gen 4: 2-5, Gen 5:24)
- For you to please God, you need faith.
- Many people place their focus on material things, rendering the church and word of God powerless in their lives.
- Where does faith come from? It comes from believing. You must believe in the invincible God.
- God is good and unchanging (James 1:17)
- He is the creator of everything.
- The kingdom of God is not based on physical things
- God changes times and seasons (Daniel 2:21) hence not bounded by time
- You need to believe in God and seek him first before other things will be added (Matthew 6:33)
- Only in believing him can you please him.
- 1Tim 6:16, 1:17 further describes the personality of God and no one/nothing else compares to him.
- God is also a rewarder of people.
- He rewards us with his presence if we seek him.
- Take your eyes away from material things and focus fully on God and then he will provide all you need.
- To find God, we need to seek him (Jer 29:13)
- Come to him as you are but do not remain as you came.
- God also rewards us with every good thing we need
- So what is faith?
- It is accepting and embracing the person of God even though/when you can’t see him.
- Faith is obeying an invincible God with all that we have.
- Faith is walking with him and doing all it takes to please him.
- “ But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these. things shall be added unto you” – Matthew 6:33
