OCCUPY TILL I COME – PASTOR BISI ADENUGA (GUEST MINISTER)

  • Luke 19:12 God is demonstrating himself and his character through this passage.
  • God wants us to occupy till he returns.
  • What does it mean to occupy?
  • It means to make yourself known through the life of Christ in you
  • It also means to take hold and to take possession.
  • It means to do business.
  • The main purpose of man is to occupy. “Be fruitful and multiply”
  • However, we were not able to occupy because we were separated from God
  • Christ came to redeem us from sin, death, poverty and sickness
  • So, what do we need to succeed? What do we need for us to occupy?
  • We need to know that we have equal opportunities through the cross of Christ. We need for us to occupy, is the salvation of Jesus Christ.
  • Nothing can militate over you because you are an idea of God.
  • We have a leverage of Christ (1 John 5:4) and we overcome the world.
  • We have equal opportunities through his word. We need to read the bible and books to occupy, be an avid reader.
  • We need to learn a business. What kind of business are you engaged in?
  • The business we should be most concerned with is the kingdom of God
  • We must bear fruit
  • Your fruit is what people benefit from you. No tree eats its own fruits
  • Be delighted in the work of God, serve him diligently.
  • Our talent and careers are not fruits except they are used for the work of God.
  • We must do the business of God, bringing people to him.
  • The location of the business is everywhere and the hour is all the time.
  • You must always be ready to do the work of Christ.
  • Gain is expected from the work of Christ, not loss. We should not incur losses to the kingdom.
  • The church is a place of truth, discipleship, for encouragement of each other and to display the love of Christ.
  • We need to obey, we must be doers of the word.
  • God is love, so we need to love others around us too.
